Team Focus: Nathan Shelton, Creative Marketing Executive
This is part of a series of posts where we introduce each member of the Daniels Healthcare team, from across the organisation. We have a compliment of approximately 90+ staff members who all live and breathe the ethos of Daniels and you’ll get to meet many of them in this series.
Nathan joined Daniels’ Marketing Team in August 2016.
He is a graphic designer by trade, creating dynamic and visually-pleasing images and designs. Nathan not only develops infographics and printed materials, he also updates the Daniels website and ensures our brand is applied consistently across all of our marketing products and signage.
With a national diploma and a degree in graphic design, Nathan is an experienced and valued member of the team. Despite his already impressive qualifications, Nathan doesn’t rest on his laurels and is continually learning new skills: “I’ve recently attended courses on coding and HTML, and I’d like to learn more about shooting video material next,” he says.
This dedication to his own learning and development means that his day-to-day tasks can vary significantly: “My wide skill set enables me to have great variety in my role. One day I may be briefing a photographer for some new product shots, the next day I’ll be developing a new Daniels Healthcare letterhead template or designing a graphic for our social media channels,” he says.
Nathan enjoys working at Daniels because he says the team is really friendly and it’s a nice atmosphere to work in.
In his spare time, Nathan is a huge car enthusiast, regularly attending VW Beetle shows in his pride and joy – a 1970’s VW Beetle! His young daughter keeps him on his toes and he likes nothing more than doing some DIY, painting and decorating and gardening – he even grows his own vegetables!
