Daniels Healthcare: Service Update

Since last week’s update, we have this week continued to stabilise the position.

We have identified many of the issues that are causing problems in the warehousing and distribution. We will start to address these with additional training among our warehousing teams. We are also exploring a slightly more flexible approach to how we distribute some product lines.

Production in the new facility is continuing to stabilise but still not at the pace we, or customers, would like.

While we are doing all we can to restore our normal service, we are still not yet in a position to be able to commit with certainty to a time table. We are aware how frustrating that is for customers, yet we do not want to commit to something which for any reason we might not be able to deliver on.

We are not blaming the weather for our continuing current difficulties though, like so many businesses, we have also been affected this week by the arctic conditions. On top of the existing issues, our vehicles have not been able to get in or out of the factory for three days.

The issues we are facing have been more complicated and inter-dependent than we could have anticipated. So, it is taking time to diagnose and isolate issues in order to solve them.

As we have said before, we believe we should be straight with our customers about what is happening. That’s why we continue to update you regularly even when the situation is not changing as much as we wish, as is the current position.

Meanwhile, when you are placing new orders, please try to give us as much lead time as you can.
