SHARPSGUARD® cyto with new distinctive purple-coloured lids is a comprehensive range of containers for the disposal of sharps including those contaminated with cytotoxic and/or cytostatic medicinal products and their residues. These containers are designed to be used throughout the hospital, in all wards and departments, as well as the community setting.

SHARPSGUARD® cyto 0.6
Description:
Ideal for cytotoxic and cytostatic waste which, to meet regulations, should be disposed of separately from other hospital waste. The SHARPSGUARD® cyto 0.6 is ideally suited for use in the community.
The SHARPSGUARD® cyto range should be disposed of seperately to other healthcare waste. A worktop stand and brackets are available free of charge, refer to the POUDS® section. The container is manufactured to BS7320:1990.
SHARPSGUARD® cyto com-plus
Description:
Ideal for cytotoxic and cytostatic waste which, to meet regulations, should be disposed of separately from other healthcare waste. The SHARPSGUARD® cyto com-plus is rectangular and fits in the POUDS® trays. It has a sliding door and an aperture which will take a 20ml syringe.The container is made to BS7320:1990 and is supplied ready assembled.
SHARPSGUARD® cyto 1
Description:
Ideal for cytotoxic and cytostatic waste which, to meet regulations, should be disposed of separately from other healthcare waste. The SHARPSGUARD® cyto 1 has a hinged lid and fits the POUDS® trays. The container is made to BS7320:1990 and is supplied ready assembled.
SHARPSGUARD® cyto 2.5
Description:
Ideal for cytotoxic and cytostatic waste which, to meet regulations, should be disposed of separately from other healthcare waste. The SHARPSGUARD® cyto 2.5 has a colour coded purple lid, label and handle, is manufactured to BS7320:1990 and fits into the POUDS® trays.
SHARPSGUARD® cyto 5
Description:
Ideal for cytotoxic and cytostatic waste which, to meet regulations, should be disposed of separately from other healthcare waste. The SHARPSGUARD® cyto 5 aperture lid assists safe, easy collection of items including giving sets, syringes and gloves. Colour-coded with a purple lid, handle and label, it can be safely transported for incineration after closure. Absorbent pads are included. The container is made to BS7320:1990. Brackets to fix the container to wall or trolley are shown in our POUDS® section.
